The formulation
Works for Glucose Wellness is a precision-probiotic capsule. Three Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS)-designated strains:
- Lactobacillus rhamnosus ATCC 7469
- Lactobacillus reuteri ATCC 23272
- Lactobacillus salivarius ATCC 11741
Vegan HPMC capsule. Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Soy-Free, Vegan. Patent pending.
How the strains were chosen
The strains were selected by AI-driven in silico prediction from 1,000+ candidates, narrowed to three by in vitro glucose-consumption screening, then tested in vivo in an eight-week preclinical study. This is precision selection, not guesswork. The formulation is licensed from Arizona State University and is patent pending.

A human study is IRB approved and will commence Fall 2026.

Works is produced in the United States at a 21 CFR 111, cGMP-compliant facility, weighed, blended, filled, and inspected by hand, batch by batch.

Alex Mohr, PhD, Chief Product Officer. Gut microbiome scientist and author of dozens of peer-reviewed papers, with a career spanning academia, government, and private industry. Former NIH postdoctoral researcher.
Haiwei Gu, PhD, Chief Science Officer. Professor at Arizona State University and author of more than 150 peer-reviewed publications. Pioneer of metabolic profiling and head of strain development at Works.
